Snakehead Cowrie Seashell - pack of four
The Snakehead Cowrie also known as the Serpent's Head Cowrie is oval in shape with a raised central area.
The curious markings of the snakehead are probably how the shell received its name. Generally brown in colour the shell has irregular spots and flecks of yellow and white with a pale underside and frilly opening.
Cowries in all of their forms are perhaps the most collected of all shells species, with their beautiful colours, smooth porcelain like finish and unique pattern they always invite curious interest.
